Other Lacemaking Workshops in the Area
Sweet Briar College in Virginia is the setting for a week-long retreat for lacemakers and enthusiasts of fine lace and textiles. Classes offered include: Milanese with Louise Colgan; Beginning and Intermediate Tønder with Bobbi Donnelly; Withoff with Susie Johnson; and Beginning and Continuing Torchon and Intermediate and Advanced Starts and Finishes with Susan Wenzel. Lacy Susan will be there throughout the week with lacemaking supplies and books for sale. The Sweet Briar Museum contains lace from the original collection of the founder of the college, Indiana Fletcher Williams. This collection inspired Lace at Sweet Briar.
