Where lacemaking lives on

Welcome to CRLG!
Our mission is the preservation and promotion of all forms of lacemaking, including but not limited to bobbin lace, tatting, needle lace, and knitted lace. To that end, our members are available for demonstrations and for instruction. Our members come from the greater Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area, Virginia, and the surrounding states. Various study groups meet regularly throughout the area. We welcome lacemakers of all abilities and collectors to join us. Select this link to download a membership form (PDF).

About our Logo
In May of 1985, the late Hazel Funke won the CRLG's contest for designing the Guild's logo. Her design includes the implements of bobbin, needle, and tatted laces arranged in a stylized representation of a sailing boat. Fan-edging below the boat represents the Chesapeake Bay, which is at the center of our region. Threads spell out the Guild's initials.
