IOLI Convention 2011

We are very pleased to announce that the 58th International Old Lacers, Inc., Convention hosted by the Chesapeake Region Lace Guild was a huge success. It was held from July 31 to August 6, 2011, in Bethesda, Maryland.

A message from the Convention Chair:

It's hard to believe that the 2011 IOLI Convention is over already! It was in 2007 that the idea first took hold. In the blink of an eye, it was July 31, 2011!

The exceptional work of my committee contributed to the smooth running of the convention. Since my committee ran as a well-oiled machine, I was able to take a morning class in Carrickmacross lace!

I would like to thank you all for making the bobbin lace and tatted roses for convention. In addition, the committee would like to thank all of you who volunteered your time and energy to help make the convention a success.

For those who couldn't attend the Convention, here are some photos.

Two of our members with some of the raffle prizes that went home with lucky winners.

A few of the tables in the Display Room.

The food was good, too! (If you look closely, you can see a few of the bobbin lace roses that were made by a crew of talented volunteers).

Did you take pictures of the Convention?

If you took any Convention photos you'd like to see published, please send them to the Webmistress for posting on this page.
